Hailing from Garut in West Java, Indonesia, Sonny’s former band would play covers, with his original arrangements as a twist, but over time this inspired him to make his own music from scratch.
Soon enough, the pandemic of 2020 struck, allowing Sonny to take flight and devote his time unequivocally to the solo realm. He now resides in Jakarta to focus wholly on music and pursuing his dream.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Muse and Radiohead, Sonny’s music takes subtle inspiration from the stories and depths of purposeful alternative rock, but essentially captures its own sense of presence and intention as a recognisable shift in the current scene’s dynamic.
